1. Are Lithium Batteries Safe?

GOLDENMATE batteries are 100% safe & reliable. Our signature chemistry, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄), does not contain rare earth elements (like Cobalt) or heavy metals, is non-toxic, including no lead or acid, is non-corrosive, does not off gas, requires no watering or maintenance, can be placed in any orientation, and unlike other lithium batteries will not explode or catch fire. In addition, each GOLDENMATE battery is protected from over heating, over charging, and short circuiting, by a battery management system (BMS) microchip that also extends the lifespan and is contained in a rugged, waterproof case (although enough water can conduct electricity between the terminals, so don’t submerse the battery). For best performance & reliability we recommend using a LiFePO₄ charger.

2. Do I Have To Maintain This Battery Like My Lead-Acid And AGM Batteries?

The beauty of our technology is its virtually maintenance free. You don’t need to trickle charge your lithium battery in storage because it only loses 3% of its capacity each month in storage. Once installed you never have to move the battery again. In fact you could leave a fully charged lithium battery in storage for up to 26 months without being charged and it will still have power left. This demonstrates the energy density of LiFePO₄ technology, but we recommend charging more regularly because you deserve to be out finding adventures.

3. Will GOLDENMATE Batteries Really Last 10 Years?

We are serious when we say Fuel Your Adventure? We are confident you will be enjoying your Enduro Power batteries past 10 years. All GOLDENMATE batteries come with a 10-year warranty for manufacturers defects. We have designed our batteries to last 3000-5000 cycles. Even then the battery will still hold 75-80% of its rated capacity. Our founders have been in the battery industry for over a decade and know what it takes to deliver long lasting performance.
4. Vibration
Our batteries are built with vibration handling in mind. We do this by limiting the number of internal connections. Rest assured our endurance focused mindset went into the design of your battery
5. Can You Overnight Ship My Battery Order?
All lithium iron phosphate batteries are required to follow UN38.3 packaging standards and UN3840 shipping guidelines to ensure there is a safe logistics network to move batteries around the United States. Based on DOT regulations, lithium batteries with the watt hour capacity of our batteries are required to ship via ground.

6. Does your battery pack have UL certification?

Our 12V battery packs and cells are all UL Listed.
The cells are UL1642 certified and the battery packs are UL2054 certified.
Attached is the UL certificate for the battery pack.
The UL file number is MH60117. It can also be searched on the UL official website. Search link: https://iq.ulprospector.com/en/

7. Can I put your batteries in the battery case of Group27?

The size of our 12V100Ah battery is 305x174x188mm, and the size of group 27 is 306x173x225mm. So the battery case fits in group 27.
8. Do your batteries come with a charger or do I need to buy one separate?
You need to buy the lithium charger separately.
9. What Certifications Do Your Batteries Have?
GOLDENMATE batteries are UN 38.3 certified and built from the most energy dense Grade A prismatic cells to ensure you receive the ampere hour capacity you deserve. The batteries are IEC62619 tested and hold UL certification on the prismatic cells. Additional certifications include CE (EN61000), RoHS and FCC (Part15B).
10. What Battery Do I Need For My Recreational Vehicle?
The majority of the RV market gravitates to the 12V 100Ah (EN100BAJA) as many users find this as an easy drop-in replacement for upgrading to lithium batteries. As the need for off-grid living increases we see users gravitating to the larger capacity batteries in the 12V 200Ah (EN200BAJA) and 300Ah (EN300BAJA) ranges. These larger batteries provide higher capacities within one battery instead of the need to wire multiple batteries together.

11. Are GOLDENMATE Batteries Drop-In Replacements?

With the space reducing design available in all GOLDENMATE batteries they will easily drop-into any existing space and likely free up additional space. LiFePO₄ batteries can be dropped into place with most traditional chargers, but the voltages are different so for optimal performance we recommend upgrading your charge to a LiFePO₄ charging profile.

12. Can I Use The Battery In Temperatures Below 32F?

Yes! All GOLDENMATE batteries have an operating temperature of -4F to 130F (-5 to 55C). All of our batteries feature Low Temperature Charging Protection to ensure your investment is protected. The BMS will not allow charging if the internal temperature of the battery is below 32F to avoid from potential irreversible damage to your LiFePO₄ investment. We know you made the decision to simplify your life and spend more time seeking adventure, so we are now handling this for you.

13. Will An GOLDENMATE 12V 100Ah Battery Have A Longer Runtime Than A 12V 100Ah Lead-Acid Battery?

Yes, all GOLDENMATE lithium iron phosphates will deliver 2x the runtime while also providing more constant voltage throughout the charge cycle. Lithium voltages stay almost constant so no more slow stabilizer jacks or slide extensions issue you may have had in the past with a low charged lead-acid.
14. How Much Do The Batteries Weigh?
Weighing in at 24.25lbs our EN100BAJA is 20% lighter than other alternatives. Saving weight and space translates into fuel savings on the road or water. We use best-in-class technology to make sure you have the lightest and most energy dense battery on the market. More detailed specifications can be found on our product detail pages.
15. What Size Bolts And Terminals Do You Use?
Keeping resistance low is critical in ensuring we have an efficient battery. We use M6 terminals with high spec’d large surface diameters for efficient contact. Each battery comes with 2 lengths of M6 bolts, washers and lock washers to allow for various application needs.
16. Do I Need To Vent These Batteries?
No! LiFePO₄ batteries have no liquids or off-gassing to manage like lead-acid batteries. Lithium batteries provide you freedom to mount your batteries in just about any location in any position that fits your application.

17. I Need A 24 Volt Battery. Will Your Batteries Work For 24 Volts?

Yes, we offer a range of 24V specific batteries to limit the number of connections in your battery bank. However, you can also series connect two 12V batteries together to create a 24V battery if its best for your application.

18. What Does Deep Cycle Mean?

GOLDENMATE batteries are designed for DEEP CYCLE applications. Our advanced lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) technology excels at storing energy and enduring long demands for power. They are not designed to be used as starter batteries for vehicles or other similar uses.
19. Can I Use My Standard Charger?
Yes! You can use a standard battery charger and it will charge the batteries. However, since most chargers are designed for a lead acid battery, they are made to go up to a certain voltage. On a lead acid battery their "full" is about 13.8V. Our LiFePO₄ batteries can accept a charge up to 14.6V. Most chargers will charge the batteries to 13.8V which will charge your GOLDENMATE battery to about 90%. For optimal performance, we recommend a charger with a lithium charge profile
