The item is working but the company sent me an item that was not put together correctly. Now it shows unavailable so I cannot get a new one. Very dissatisified.

I have wanted to add a backup power solution to my networking equipment or a while now. I found this product I was glad to finally get it setup. We have our main router and other alarm equipment on battery backup, but the problem was that our ISP equipment is 120VAC. So some of the other solutions were useless without a way to sustain the ISP equipment through brownouts/blackouts.

First of all, this product is awesome and should not be overlooked. The main players in this category are APC(Schneider), Tripp-Lite(Eaton), Vertiv(Liebert), and SolaHD(Emerson). Those are some big names and key players in industry, and they all make great products. What sets this UPS unit apart is the Lithium Iron Phosphate battery backup at an affordable price. Those batteries are an improvement over lead acid based battery backup, and likely the reason for the 1000VA/800W rating rather then the typical 1000VA/600W ratings found on the typical UPS products. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are also more expensive and tend to last much longer in terms of time and charge cycles.

They have managed to keep the price down on this one, and I'm impressed. I've been successfully running it for about a month now. I have tested the behavior when it loses power by unplugging it and it kept chugging like a champ. I have maxed out what I can plug in, but I'm only pulling about 60 watts. At that rate, my backup should theoretically last for a little over 3 hours. When closer to fully loaded, you'd probably get about 10 minutes or so. That is pretty great, because that is a lot of capacity. To figure out how long you should be able to run, you just take the Watt hours (Wh) and divide it by the average wattage (230Wh/60W = 3.8 hours). Note: This UPS is rated for 230.4 watt hours. The LCD screen is helpful, and shows the input and output voltage and power.

The fan is relatively quiet and rarely kicks on at a mere 60 watts, but I'm glad to see that works. It doesn't kick on as much for me while connected to power, but it comes on once it loses main power and starts feeding the loads from the internal battery. The other benefit to the LiFePO4 battery is that the unit is much lighter than other comparably sized units. I love the fact that it beeps when power goes out for my use case, but it isn't terribly loud or annoying to me. It is more of a notification, but it isn't in our room or kitchen. The unit seems to run very cool at lower loading, so that is another plus.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to replace the internal battery to extend the UPS product's life, but with the battery types lasting up to 10 years it may be a moot point. We'll see how it goes, but so far so good. And that makes this UPS an excellent value. I can't say enough good things about it. It is certainly punching above its own weight class, challenging the titans of the industry. I definitely recommend this product and I'm glad I found it! I don't know of any other Lithium based UPS in this price range. And as far as fan noise is concerned, I don't understand other reviewers calling it loud. Another reviewer tested it as around 40 dB from a foot away, so it is literally whisper quiet as you move out past a foot away. In my experience, the unit is quiet. Take that for what it is worth, but my hearing is good as a thirtysomething. I have not found any faults with this product. Just know that it should never be placed in a cabinet or entrainment center where it can't get adequate airflow, so keep that in mind.

Into a server closet full of APC and Cyberpower UPS devices I've been using for years, this UPS really stands out for a couple of reasons - the color, which I LOVE because it looks clean and svelte - and the fact it is a LiFePo lithium battery based device which should give me years of use without having to swap out batteries every couple of years.

It was well-packaged when it arrived without a scratch. Clear plastic protective film over the front panel digital display - which turned out to be clear, bright and readable across the room. Beyond plugging in the provided heavy-duty grounded power cable, you are pretty much done BECAUSE (issue number one) - there is no USB cable to plug into your server or other devices and therefore no real-time monitoring it remotely to know when it has kicked out and is saving your server other that a REALLY LOUD alarm. If I was using this in an office environment, that might be enough - but (issue number 2) its fans run to loud and too often to use in an office environment without being in an enclosure (as mine is)or relegated to a closet.

Pluses -

Well-designed and lightweight, it functions well sitting on a surface. It lacks mounting holes to allow you to rack mount it unless you want to lose a slot to a shelf. Eight outlets is great and I appreciate not having to check for which ones are UPS and which are just surge-protected (they are all UPS). Supporting my network hardware, RAID backup, cable modem, mesh router and a small Dell mini-computer that runs my media server, it buys me 25 minutes from power failure to battery being expended. It outputs good, clean sine-wave power - confirmed my my electrician - which I am assured will extend the life of most computer equipment.

Apart from the lack of a USB plug for easy remote monitoring and the sheer volume of the fan, I am a huge fan and will buy more in the future. The rating of up to 10 years vs. 2 for most of my other UPS units is absolutely killer, and the number of outlets that it can keep up is awesome. Plus it looks great. I highly recommend if you can do without monitoring - but I have to drop one star for that missing piece.

The GOLDENMATE 1000VA-800W is a UPS battery backup with 8 outlets with surge protection.
The unit is compact and light and very simple to operate. It has a power button and a clear display with input voltage and wattage, output voltage and wattage and a battery capacity with a 5-bar meter.
On the rear there are 8 outlets, an overload protector switch and a RS485 communication port. You could use a RS485 communication cable or a RS485 communication cable to Ethernet to connected to a server.

This UPS seamless switches over battery power when the electrical current stops. When that happens the unit fan will kick in and it will beep every 5 seconds. When the unit is almost depleted it will beep every two seconds.
The fan oscillate around 44 dBA, measured at 12 inches in front of the unit, where the fan noise is higher.

This uninterruptible power supply (UPS), could provide enough power when an outage occurs, to give you plenty of time to properly power off your electronic equipment or run it for a while depending of the power draw of your devices.

The GOLDENMATE 1000VA-800W ran for 28 minutes and 43 seconds while delivering 376W before it stopped. I tested that specific wattage, since that is the wattage of all the equipment that will be protected by this unit. That is a workstation, 34" LED monitor, NAS, file server, NVR, network switch and a wireless router.

Besides keeping your devices powered on, this UPS can also protect your equipment from nasty voltage spikes, flickers and power surges.

This LiFePO4 UPS weight less, around 11 lbs. lighter, than a similar UPS with a Lead-Acid battery.
By the way, LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries are safer. Their cell design with non-flammable electrolyte are less likely to overheat, explode and catch fire.
They do not contain any hazardous materials, do not leak and are non-toxic. Also, they do not contain rare earth metals (cobalt or manganese), which makes them environment friendly.

Since this unit could be running on or near a working desk, I would have liked if the beeping could be controlled or stop altogether, after the user is aware of the power outage. This feature could be easily implement in the same power button, which could have a short press to stop the beeping and a long press to power off the unit. Also, adding at least a USB charging port and maybe a data line protection will make this one of the best options around.

The GoldenMate 1000VA-800W UPS does a great job protecting equipment from downtime and possible damage and data loss. It accomplishes that task using cleaner and environment friendly LiFePO4 batteries.
The unit comes with a lengthy 5-year warranty and the battery should have a 10-year life span under normal use. When a manufacturers provide such a warranty, is usually an indication of a good quality product.

This will be a great battery backup and surge protector for our home office. It is heavy but not quite a big as others we have had which is good to save space. I like that it has a display to know how much charge it has and the input/output.

I am really impressed and the quality and build of this unit. It is very solid and very well built. I really like how it can handle multiple units and distribute power evenly and steadily. Although I plan to use it in an emergency and not constantly hooked up. I do have a couple of desktop computers that I could use it to protect data in case of a power failure but most of the data is non essential.

Where I live there are frequent power outages and the power can be off for at least a few days. I got this unit to provide power to essential units in my house if that occurs. I haven't had to use it for that purpose yet and have only been using it to test how it handles different appliances and my CPAP. It has worked flawlessly.

I read how others are annoyed by the sound and how loud it is. I understand that in order to be able to power multiple items , the lithium batteries and the power supply will generate a lot of heat. The unit then uses the fans to cool both and thus more sound is a very good thing. It means the fans are running hard to keep it cool. Beware of units that DON'T make a lot of noise. They will overheat and the batteries won't hold a charge anymore.

This is a great unit that will provide power during an emergency. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

First and foremost, my unit hasn't had the issues of a loud fan others are complaining about. My suspicion is the fans for others might be coming off loose during transport.

I have this ups connected to the mains and driving our TV , set top box and fan simultaneously.
- it is actually very small and compact and resembles a small desktop PC.
- it blends well with the other electronics in our TV stand.
- it has beenvery quiet during it operation to the point that we do not even realize it is sitting there.
- the device has a nice LCD display that provides all information like input and output voltages , mode of operation - mains or battery. .
- It is VERY EASY TO SETUP. Just the mains wire and the device!
- very easy to operate , only one button at the front to operate the device.
- the instruction manual is fairly detailed on what the different combinations of red and green lights mean.

Only con is that yes, when it is on battery mode, it beeps every 5 seconds. Honestly this did not pertub me as I have had UPSs in past that did the same.

Overall a very compact UPS , that blends well in a living room and does the job!

Our house is the LAST house on a 36 mile power line. We get surges often, especially during thunderstorms. Our voltage fluctuates from 72 volts to 140 volts. That eats computers for lunch! We can't be without a UPS to condition line voltage to an acceptable range and to control voltage surges. Mine was dying. I realized I had to have a replacement. I settled on this one for it's specifications, which best met the need I had defined. While it has Lithium Phosphate batteries, this bugger is HEAVY. I at first thought it had lead acid batteries, but I feel safer with the Lithium Phosphate. It has 8 outlets, more than enough for my needs. All 8 outlets have surge protection and battery backup. It is a quiet, solid performer, and I like it better than all of my old lead acid UPS's. So far it is a great performer, just what I needed!

Truthfully, I should have got a UPS as soon as I and others in my household started to work from home.

My excuse was worrying about reliability, longevity, and noise. Many reviews of similar products mentioned the annoying beeps that you need to clear up.

Eventually, I had to get a UPS. My treadmill got relocated to an outlet which did not get fed from a single circuit breaker. It shared all the outlets on the bottom floor. Since it is a model used by gyms it required a dedicated circuit. Accordingly, every 2 to 3 weeks it would trip, cutting off the Internet to all, since the modem/router was on one of the outlets on the same floor.

Then I had to go around and apologize to the users (being family members they expected better...).

I calculated the maximum load from all the appliances plugged in, leaving a 30% margin (buffer). 800 W seemed to be the right number, and the UPS we received impressed me. Informative display, enough power, and small footprint. I placed it on a moveable platform so it can be easily moved or relocated despite the bit of the weight. I also made sure that it has enough space to ventilate properly, since heat buildup will shorten the UPS lifetime. Finally, no one bugs me, even if I trip the breaker. I walk to the CB box, flip the switch, and life goes on. I even relocated some of my monitoring H/W to avoid worrying when the home is empty of occupants.

this white color goes much better with my decor than the standard black ones. Seems to be able to handle the surges and the power of the multiple things I have plugged into it. One thing that is different from this versus the APC ones is this one comes ready to go and you don't have to assemble the battery in the battery compartment first. Looks like it will work great!

I grabbed this to keep a home Ubiquiti network stack + 10 POE cameras running through short outages. I initially tested it to keep everything up for an hour, which succeeded. I won't run the new LiFePo4 battery down to zero if I don't have to. It's pretty basic with no options to remotely monitor or alert, which is fine.

For a rack setup, you'll need a deep shelf, and it's not really designed for that use case. I completely agree with another reviewer about the poor design for airflow. While I don't care about the fan noiseother things in the network stack are louderI want it to last a decent amount of time, so I'll probably look at modding the front plate for better flow.

The manual was minimal and didn't indicate if there was a difference in the outlets for balancing the workload. While you get 120v sinewave "clean" power on a battery source, it just passes through when you feed it utility power. So, please ensure you are also utilizing lightning arrestors/surge suppression. This unit did not include a grounding point outside the 3-prong Nema 5-15 plug.

This new version of the LiFePO4 UPS no longer has the horribly loud fan that the original version had, which would regularly turn on and off daily, and I appreciate that the manufacturer successfully did this. The new fan makes a big difference, and I appreciate the quiet. I now have a few of these improved units and all are running quiet while plugged into a/c power.

There is a lot to like about this UPS, the best thing being the fact it has Lithium Ion Phosphate batteries instead of Lead Acid batteries. I like that the screen shows the output watts being drawn. The 1000VA/800W specs are nice. I like that its battery life expectancy will be superior to those UPS units that use lead acid batteries.

I deducted a star because there is no way to silence the alarm beeping during power outages, and there really should be. And there's no way to silence the alarm beeping when powered on with no a/c plugged in which makes it disappointing for those who might also want to be able to use one of these as an extra unit to buy as a portable standalone to power or charge devices when no a/c is available.

Bottom line is that I do recommend this now as a Lithium Battery UPS for your modem, router, computers, monitors, etc.

Sleek and lightweight. Been through 2 power failures without a computer crash. Bought a second unit for the grandkid's classroom computer. Hopefully it's longevity lives up to expectations. Only time will tell, but so far it has been perfect over a month with 2 power outages recorded.

Failed its first test. While it worked fine as a backup power source, the "uninterupted" failed when the power blinked off for a second. My television shut down. Not sure about other electronics as none were turned on at the time. My 12-year old APC 550 (on battery #3) never failed. Disappointed
